Expanding Medical Practice for Casselberry Physician
November 14, 2005

Winter Park, FL – Lucia, Kassik & Monday, Inc. today announced the firm has been commissioned by Steven H. Selznick, D.O. to provide architectural services for a major addition and redesign of his medical office in Casselberry, near Orlando, Florida. The freestanding, self-contained office building is located near the intersection of Red Bug Lake Road and 436/Semoran Boulevard.

The expansion will add approximately 1,010 square feet to the existing 4,935 square foot medical office building. The client is taking the opportunity to alter the style of the building from a 1970s contemporary style to a timeless Old Florida style designed by Gordon V. Monday, thirty-five year veteran architect.

The architect is reconfiguring the central core area to accommodate more usable working space, a drug sample room, two office alcoves and a medical chart storage area. Dr. Selznick’s desire to create a less sterile environment, using color and texture to design a more comfortable patient waiting area is on trend with the health care industry. The goal is to create a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Due to an increase in services offered and health care professionals, five additional examination rooms and two office alcoves will be included in the addition redesign.
